She has been nominated for Community Oriented Poet in the National Underground Spoken Word Awards (NUSPA) (2011), for Best Poet/Spoken Word Artist in the DMV (2011), and Poet of the Year in the Baltimore, MD (2010). Shelly has featured as a spoken word artist in two stage plays, co-hosted/featured at Busboys and Poets, performed at George Washington University, University of MD Eastern Shore and a host of other venues around the country. As the director of Seven City Art Society her focus is poetry, people, and purpose.She is a dreamer who is passionate about bringing her imagination to life.
