He received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Ohio State University and did his Internship at Johns Hopkins Medical Center and the Baltimore Veterans Administration Medical Center. He completed his undergraduate studies at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. In addition to maintaining a thriving practice in Greenbelt, MD, he frequently conducts relationship workshops and trainings. He is currently working on his second book, The Uncivil War: What Has Happened to Marriage In Black America with Nisa Muhammad and Jamila Bey. Most importantly, Dr. Shane is passionate about helping couples save their relationships and marriages. He brings a wealth of humor, insight and perspective to the therapy sessions, media interviews, speaking events and marital workshops.
