Regret Nothing | Write Everything™ is the mantra echoing behind the wisdom of Author, Computer Scientist, Educator, & Performance Poet, Shelly "She Seven" Bell. She has been nominated for Community Oriented Poet in the National Underground Spoken Word Awards (NUSPA) (2011), for Best Poet/Spoken Word Artist in the DMV (2011), and Poet of the Year in the Baltimore, MD (2010). Shelly has featured as a spoken word artist in two stage plays, co-hosted/featured at Busboys and Poets, performed at George Washington University, University of MD Eastern Shore and a host of other venues around the country. As the director of Seven City Art Society her focus is poetry, people, and purpose.She is a dreamer who is passionate about bringing her imagination to life. Shelly Bell believes that purpose is as irresistible as laughter, passion is as bright as the north star, imagination is the foundation of greatness. MISSION Seven City Art Society, LLC (SCAS) is a member's organization focused on fostering human interactions using art and technology. POETRY SCAS is certified by the state of Virginia to offer multimedia services focused on increasing literacy amongst adults and children using performance poetry events, plays, and various workshops. People SCAS realizes that human interaction is the base of all things. It’s the reason we buy or buy into certain illusions. Technology often gets blamed for decreasing personal connections. One of our goals is to equip the community with tools that use technology as an extension of human interaction vs. a threat. Purpose SCAS is directed by Shelly Bell, a Computer Scientist, Educator, and Performance Poet whose passion for community combined with analytical thinking creates her a unique experience for all who come into contact with her. Shelly created SCAS over 4 years ago in her heart and the spirit to join as many people as she can just off of the draw of interacting with others alone.
